Terms & Conditions
Bookings
A tentative booking will be held for one week from the date of booking. A written notice of confirmation will be required to confirm your booking.
Cancellations
We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur and result in the cancellation of your Event. Tzu Chi Foundation will refund 50% of the deposit if the Event is cancelled by notifying Tzu Chi Foundation in writing at least four (4) weeks prior to the booking date. If the Event is cancelled less than four (4) weeks prior to the booking date, the deposit and any monies paid to Tzu Chi Foundation are non-refundable.
Deposit
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your booking along with a signed copy of the contract. All fixed costs relating to the Event are to be paid seven (7) days prior to the day of your event, unless otherwise agreed by the Event Coordinator. Please note that failing to finalise the final payment will result in immediate cancellation of your booking.
Special restrictions
The nature of the event shall not contravene with Tzu Chi Precepts for Ethical Conduct as below.
- Only vegetarian meals are allowed in the venue.
- Respect the integrity of healthy society moral values.
- Respect others and be moderate while giving a speech in the venue.
- Alcohol consumption is prohibited within the premises.
- Smoking or the use of narcotics is prohibited on the premises.
- Abide traffic regulations.
- Do not use the venue for political activities or demonstrations.
Force majeure
The deposit and rental paid will be fully refunded should the Tzu Chi Community Centre (TCCC) is not available for hire due to a Force Majeure event. For example,
- TCCC being repurposed as an Evacuation Centre for Disaster Relief.
- TCCC experiences infrastructure failure. (Electricity/Water) or any Force Majeure event that is beyond TCCC’s reasonable control.
