Perth

Caring for our people, our communities, and our future.

Compassion in action across Perth

Tzu Chi Perth serves individuals, families, and communities across Western Australia through practical assistance, compassionate care, and volunteer service. Guided by respect for life and a commitment to helping others, our volunteers bring kindness into action through charity, healthcare, education, environmental initiatives, and community outreach.

Every program reflects a simple belief: small acts of compassion, carried out with sincerity, can create lasting positive change.

Whether supporting vulnerable families, caring for older Australians, providing healthcare in regional communities, or encouraging sustainable living, we work alongside the community to build a kinder, healthier, and more compassionate society.

What we do

Tzu Chi Perth delivers a diverse range of community programs that respond to local needs while supporting the Foundation's global humanitarian mission.

Our initiatives include:

Community care

Community care

Our charity programs provide practical assistance and compassionate support to individuals and families experiencing hardship. Volunteers also visit aged care facilities through our Nursing Home Care program, offering companionship, encouragement, and meaningful social connection. Through projects such as the Premature Baby Project, we also support vulnerable families during some of life's most challenging moments with care and compassion.

Health & wellbeing

Health & wellbeing

Access to quality healthcare should be available to everyone. Our medical initiatives include community health services, volunteer medical programs, and regional outreach such as the Kalgoorlie Remote-Area Free Clinic, where healthcare professionals and volunteers work together to provide medical care, health education, and wellbeing support for underserved communities.

Education & youth development

Education & family programs

We believe education helps people grow both intellectually and personally. Through educational initiatives, the Parent-Child Growth Class, and the Tzu Chi Collegiate Youth Association (Tzu Ching) Perth, we encourage lifelong learning, family connection, leadership, and compassionate service. These programs help children, parents, and young adults develop confidence, good character, and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Environmental protection

Environmental protection

Protecting the environment is an important expression of compassion for future generations. Through recycling initiatives, environmental education, Clean Up Australia Day, Pulling Weeds, and other environmental protection activities, we encourage sustainable living and inspire people to care for the natural world through everyday actions.

Humanistic culture

Humanistic culture

Our Humanistic Culture activities promote gratitude, respect, kindness, and harmonious relationships through cultural events, community gatherings, and values-based learning. These programs encourage positive living while strengthening connections between individuals, families, and the wider community.

Disaster recovery

Disaster relief

When natural disasters affect communities, Tzu Chi Perth provides timely relief and practical assistance to support recovery. Working alongside volunteers and community partners, we help individuals and families meet immediate needs while supporting their journey towards rebuilding with dignity and hope.

Food relief

Healthy living

Through our Vegetarian Promotion initiatives, we encourage healthy, mindful living that benefits both personal wellbeing and the environment. By promoting plant-based lifestyles and sustainable habits, we support healthier communities while helping protect the Earth.

Volunteer development

Community volunteers

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Through our Community Volunteers program, people from all backgrounds are invited to develop new skills, build meaningful friendships, and contribute their time and compassion in service of others. Every volunteer helps strengthen the community through acts of kindness, both big and small.
