Tzu Chi Academy
Tzu Chi Academy Perth was established on 10 February 2001. From the beginning, it was never merely a language tutoring school, but a place of practice where “language education and character education advance together.” Over the years, its curriculum has emphasized etiquette, filial piety, gratitude, environmental awareness, and teamwork, so that while children learn Chinese, they also learn how to conduct themselves in life. Its educational direction is to establish a humanistic foundation; the academy’s deepest influence lies in bringing character education into daily life, inspiring generations of children to let kindness and responsibility grow steadily within the community.

Students in the beginner class happily held up the little red lantern Mother’s Day gifts they made by hand with Chinese writing on them, wanting to give them to their mothers.
The mothers were full of surprise, and the anticipation in their eyes could not hide their inner emotion. Several mothers had tears in their eyes as they faced their children holding tea cups for them, feeling both love and tenderness.
The children’s class and Year 2 jointly performed the play “Grandma Moon.” The story tells of Grandma Moon, who has a magical pair of scissors that can bring what she cuts to life. In order to save humanity’s loving hearts, she exhausts all her power and finally transforms into the moon in the sky, watching over all beings on earth.
The return of the bamboo banks to their “home” brought the event to another climax: “Five cents can save lives; the bamboo bank spirit shines.” Students eagerly poured the love saved in their bamboo banks into the sea of merit.
Students watched the Father’s Day video attentively.
When fathers received the tea and met their children’s eyes, a warm sense of paternal love quietly spread. And in the moment when those strong, steady hands lifted up their children, their faces were filled with emotion, fulfillment, and gratitude.

At this year’s graduation ceremony, several parents wrote, directed, and acted in their own lively and engaging play, helping children understand from the animals’ perspective how human living habits affect the natural environment and animal ecology.
This school fair was initiated by enthusiastic parents and featured more than a dozen booths, with a dazzling array of food and handmade activities, including painted-fan DIY.
