Compassion in action across Brisbane
Tzu Chi Brisbane serves individuals, families, and communities across Brisbane and South East Queensland through practical support, compassionate care, and meaningful community programs. Guided by respect for life and a commitment to helping those in need, our volunteers work alongside local communities to provide assistance with sincerity, humility, and kindness.
From supporting families experiencing hardship to delivering healthcare in regional communities, every initiative reflects our belief that compassion becomes most meaningful when it is put into action.
Whether responding to emergencies, improving access to healthcare, encouraging young people to serve, or creating opportunities for families to connect, we are committed to building stronger and more caring communities for everyone.

What we do
Tzu Chi Brisbane delivers a range of community programs that respond to local needs while supporting the Foundation's global humanitarian mission.
Our initiatives include:

Disaster relief
When natural disasters affect local communities, our volunteers provide timely relief and practical assistance to help individuals and families recover. Working alongside community partners, we support people through both immediate needs and the journey towards rebuilding with dignity and hope.

Health & wellbeing
Access to healthcare is essential for every community. Through our Health & Wellness Centre, regional medical outreach programs, and initiatives such as the Tara Medical Outreach and Toowoomba Refugee Dental Fair, healthcare professionals and volunteers work together to deliver compassionate medical and dental care, health education, and wellbeing support to underserved communities.

Food relief
Our Food Relief Program provides nutritious food and essential supplies to individuals and families experiencing hardship. More than meeting immediate needs, the program offers encouragement, dignity, and reassurance that no one faces difficult times alone.

Children & family programs
Strong communities begin with strong families. Through Children & Family Day and other family-focused activities, we create opportunities for learning, connection, and shared experiences that promote kindness, respect, and positive relationships across generations.

Youth development
Through Tzu Ching Brisbane, university students and young adults are encouraged to develop leadership skills, build lasting friendships, and contribute to the community through volunteer service. These experiences help young people grow with confidence, compassion, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
